As always, thanks for listening, and Semper Portare! Al & Dagny
Just started listening to your podcast. I like it!
ReplyDeleteI do have a suggestion about the Motto, "Semper Portare". It seems that the grammar is incorrect. You want to say, "Always Carry" not "always to carry". Here's his explanation.
From my friend the latin professor:
"Portare" is the infinitive form and means "to carry". I think he wants to use one of the command forms, which are "Porta" or "Portate". The first is if you are telling just one person, the second is if the command is to more than one person. So I am thinking "Semper portate". And "portate" is pronounced "por" "tot" "ay". Hope that helps.
Keep up the good work.
